Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is an official Walt Disney World Resort property that is located about 30 minutes from the Orlando airport. This resort is just one monorail stop away from Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom theme park. It is currently undergoing a renovation but we did not notice construction noise while touring the property. We did see exterior construction from the main entrance.

Pools and Lazy River

1. Pools

  • Courtyard Pool – family-friendly, centrally located pool with zero-grade entry and max 5′ depth
  • Beach Pool – zero-entry pool with views of Seven Seas Lagoon, and landing spot for a water slide and cascading waterfalls
  • Aquatic Play Area – kids play area located next to Beach Pool
  • Whirlpools – heated, family-friendly

2. Lazy River

There is not a lazy river at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

3. Beach Area

There is a sandy beach area at Seven Seas Lagoon, but swimming in the lagoon is not allowed. The “Beach Pool” has zero-grade entry and a view of the Seven Seas Lagoon. All the views, none of the sand!

4. Slides

There is a water slide in the Beach Pool at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

5. Lounge Area

There are poolside chaise loungers and tables with umbrellas. Private cabanas are available for rent.

6. Food/Drinks

There are poolside dining and drink options for guests at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa.

Child Care

There is not a formal childcare program at this resort. There is an abundance of family-friendly programming that children of all ages are welcome to enjoy with their families!

Golf

Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa is located just across the street from Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course. There are multiple golf courses that Disney Resort guests can enjoy.

6. Beaches Pool Bar and Grill

Accommodations

1. Rooms

Guest Rooms – An option for theme park, resort, or water views. Rooms accommodate 4-5 guests with either 1 King and 1 Double Sleeper, 1 King and 1 Daybed, 2 Queen, or 2 Queen and 1 Daybed sleeping arrangements.

Suites- 1 and 2-bedroom suites available with either theme park, resort, or water views. Sleeping arrangements accommodate 4-8 guests.

Villas – 1, 2, and 3-bedroom villas have sleeping arrangements that can accommodate up to 12 guests.

2. Amenities

3. Pets

Pets are not welcome at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa. There are other official Disney properties that are pet-friendly.

A 20% service charge is included in the final bill, gratuity is at the guest’s discretion.
