Pools and Lazy River

1. Pools

  • Adventure Water Park Pool – family-friendly, outdoor, heated pool open 8 am – 10 pm daily, lifeguard on duty
  • Adult Aguamiel Pool – outdoor, heated pool open 6 am – 10 pm, lap lanes available

2. Lazy River

There is a lazy river at this resort at the family-friendly Adventure Water Park.

3. Beach Area

There is not a beach area at this resort. However, there is a surfing area! The Kierland FlowRider offers guests a chance to try out “flowboarding”, a hybrid of surfing, snowboarding, and wakeboarding.

4. Slides

There is a 110-foot water slide at the family-friendly Adventure Water Park.

5. Lounge Area

Poolside lounge chairs are available. Private cabanas can be reserved, or if you’re feeling extra opt for the private island rental. Yes, you read that correctly. The private island has shaded loungers, a day bed, a dining table, an umbrella, reserved tubes, and access to a private section of the lazy river. It does require a $250 minimum food and beverage purchase but that seems easy enough to achieve with a large group!

Westin Family Kids Club is available for kids aged 4-12 years old. Activities include a scavenger hunt and outdoor games.

Shopping

Kierland Commons Shopping is located next to the resort with the usual mall apparel shopping and dining options.

Golf

The Westin Kierland Golf Club provides guests access to what Golf Advisor calls of of the “Top 10 Public Courses in Phoenix/Scottsdale”. There are three courses (Acacia, Ironwood, and Mesquite) with 27 holes to play on, a driving range, putting green, and clubhouse. There is also a Golf School for lessons. Equipment rental available and bonus – kids golf for free!

  • Kid’s Compass Quest – property-wide scavenger hunt for Prospector Pete’s hidden treasure

1. Waltz & Weiser Whiskey Bar and Cantina

American, Open Lunch and Dinner daily, Casual

Enjoy a bar and appetizer menu along with fine whiskey and tequila. Has outdoor seating with a large TV perfect for catching the big game. Head over at sunset to hear the Scottish pipes in the adjacent Dreamweavers Canyon to honor the Scottish heritage of the resort.

2. Nellie Cashman’s Monday Club Cafe

Regional Cuisine, Open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, casual.

A modern take on traditional recipes dating back to the 1800s paired with artesian cocktails.

3. J. Swilling’s Poolside Bar & Grill

Serving up sandwiches, salads, and drinks poolside. Pina Colada anyone?

4. Coffee Flats

6. The Scotch Library

As the name implies, this is more than just a bar. Learn and explore over 300 whiskey labels with the Scotch Library Ambassadors. Sounds like my kind of library!

7. Brittlebush Bar & Grill

Casual spot serving up grilled meats and bar bites along with your favorite cocktails.

Accommodations

1. Rooms

The Westin Kierland Resort and Spa offers guests a selection of resort, pool, golf or mountain views from your from your room with either 1 king, 2 queens, or (our favorite) 1 king with a trundle bed. Options for a private balcony or terrace are available as well.

If you need more space, the Presidential Suite has a large balcony overlooking the golf course. It has a king bed, living room and full dining table.

2. Amenities

Mini fridge, coffee maker, ironing board, desk, bottled water (complimentary).

Hi Speed internet is available for a fee.

3. Pets

Pets are welcome at this resort with a pet fee.
